How far ahead should I book?
Metropolitan is a one-client-at-a-time studio, so appointments do fill up. For color services or a specific weekend slot, book 2-3 weeks out when you can. For a cut or blowout, a week's notice is usually plenty.
How much does a haircut or hair color cost?
Haircuts start at $73 for women, $53 for men and $47 for kids. Single process color starts at $93, highlights at $140 and balayage at $210. Every price is a starting price, and each service page has the details.
What if I don't know exactly what I want?
That's what the consultation at the start of every appointment is for. Dawn will talk through your hair's history, texture and lifestyle with you before any cutting or color begins, so you leave with a look that actually works for you.
What products do you use?
Metropolitan uses professional lines including Olaplex for bond-building and repair, alongside other salon-quality color and care products chosen for your hair's specific needs.
Is the salon really fully private?
Yes. Your appointment is the only one happening in the suite at that time. There's no shared floor, no rush and no other clients — just you and Dawn for the full length of your visit.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or rescheduling requests need at least 48 hours' notice to avoid a fee. We understand unexpected situations come up, and we appreciate your cooperation in giving timely notice so the fee — which covers administrative costs — can be avoided.
